Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is ready to step back into the "Spotlight," and just in time for the Grammys.

The songstress is set to perform at the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles on Feb. 6, two days before the Recording Academy's big awards show. The event marks Hudson's first public appearance since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in October.

The Dreamgirls Oscar winner joins Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Adele, Tim McGraw, Josh Groban and Raul Malo the performance docket for the fundraising fete honoring Neil Diamond.

Two nights later, Huson will find out of she gets to take home any of the four gongs for she's up for, including Best R&B Album for her eponymous release.

"It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing," she said in a statement following the nominations.
